SnowMyScreen is a macOS application that creates beautiful animated snowfall effects on your desktop. Your privacy is important to us, and this policy explains how we handle your information.

The Short Version

We don't collect any data. Period.

SnowMyScreen works entirely on your Mac. Nothing you do in the app is tracked, recorded, or sent anywhere. We don't know who you are, how you use the app, or what settings you prefer.

What We Don't Collect

• No personal information
• No usage statistics
• No crash reports
• No analytics data
• No device identifiers
• No location data
• Nothing. Seriously.

What Stays on Your Mac

The app saves your preferences locally on your device:

• Snow intensity and speed
• Wind direction and strength
• Snowflake shapes and colors
• Which displays show snow
• Language preference

These settings are stored in your Mac's standard preferences system and never leave your computer. When you delete the app, these settings are removed.

Permissions

SnowMyScreen may request permission to launch automatically when you start your Mac. This is optional and only for your convenience. No data is collected through this permission.

No Internet Required

SnowMyScreen doesn't need an internet connection to work. It doesn't communicate with any servers, ours or anyone else's.

Updates

All updates come through the Mac App Store. Apple handles the update process according to their privacy policy.

Children

Since we don't collect any information, SnowMyScreen is safe for everyone, including children.
